PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
In order to meet our clients’ demands, Dongbu Steel has successfully developed the P-P type steel pipe sheet piles (SPSP), a first among Korean steelmakers. The P-P SPSP is popular in countries such as Japan, the United States, and Germany for its cost-effectiveness and superb waterproof properties. Unlike type L-T or type P-T, type P-P pipes possess perfect waterproof properties, which is why over 90% of consumers in Japan, where construction using SPSP is most advanced, choose type P-P.

SPSP's are used in harbor construction (building piers, banks, and break-waters), estuaries, civil engineering projects (building bridges, roads, rail roads, and soil sheet piles), foundations for heavy machines and furnaces. More recent applications include man-made islands, petroleum and LNG storage sites, marine airports, and fish husbandry.

QUALITY OF MATERIAL
Materials used for the production of steel pipe sheet piles are specified in KSY 400, SKY 490 of KS F 4605-1995 (Steel Pipe Sheet Pile). The following tables show its chemical and mechanical components.

  1. Bending (N) runs parallel to the steel pipe sheet pile wall, while deflection is set at the right angle of the steel pipe sheet pile.
  2. Outside diameter and thickness measures the steel pipe body.
  3. While the figure illustrates the P-P type, other types also share the same joint shape.
  4. Products under 500㎜ or exceeding 1,524㎜ shall be available upon prior consultation with the manufacturer.
